ABOUT THE PASTOR
James Rasbeary was saved at the age of 15, at the South Side Baptist Church in Weatherford, Texas. He was saved on Friend Day through the preaching of Pastor Jerry Miller. Bro. Rasbeary was called to preach at the age of 17 and entered Bible College the same year. He graduated from the Norris Bible Baptist Institute (Fort Worth, TX) in 1997 with a Diploma of Biblical Studies. Then, he graduated from the Trinity Baptist Bible College (Arlington, TX) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pastoral Theology. In 2008, he also earned a Masters Degree in Theology from Slidell Baptist Seminary (Slidell, Louisiana).
Bro. Rasbeary married his High School sweetheart, Amanda Hudson, in 1994. Mrs. Rasbeary was a “bus kid” who was also saved at South Side Baptist Church. They now have four children: Elisabeth, Rebekah, Emily, and Joseph.
Bro. Rasbeary served at the Trinity Baptist Church of Arlington from 1995-2000, under the leadership of Dr. Bob Smith. In 2000, he was ordained, licensed, and sent out to start the Lighthouse Baptist Church. Since 2002, he has also served on the faculty of the Trinity Baptist Bible College, teaching Bible and history courses.
