Lighthouse Baptist Church loves children!
As you will see below, our church places a lot of emphasis on children. We have numerous ministries designed to help connect the Word of God to the lives of children on their own level. The foundation of these ministries is an active and exciting Sunday School. We also have children's services on Sunday morning, King's Kids, Junior Camp, Vacation Bible School, Boy Scouts Troop 1611 and Cub Scouts Pack 1611, and just plain ol' fun throughout the year on Sunday nights!
SUNDAY SCHOOL
The foundation of our Children's Ministry is our graded Sunday School. Our classes are divided by school grade, so that the children can be taught on their own level. Each of our teachers is qualified and trained to teach the Bible to children. All of the major Bible stories are taught on a rotating basis every two years.
Our Sunday School classes and teachers are:
Nursery (Birth - 2 years) - Mrs. Frances Brunworth and Mrs. Sharon Losey
Beginners (3 year - K) - Mrs. Jane Barzon
Primary Boys (1st - 2nd) - Mr. Tim Dart
Primary Girls (1st - 2nd) - Mrs. Marie Dart
Intermediate Girls (3rd - 4th) - Mrs. Michelle Atha
Junior Boys (3rd - 6th) - Mr. Lionel Barzon, Jr.
Junior Girls (5th - 6th) - Mrs. Kelli Birkett
Deaf Children (all ages) - Mrs. Lisa Camp
Junior High Girls (7th-8th) - Mrs. Meredith Absher
Senior High Girls (9th -12th) - Mrs. Amanda Rasbeary
Junior High Boys (7th-8th) - Mr. Kevin Absher
Senior High Boys (9th - 12th) - Mr. Greg Camp
Sunday School begins at 10 am. If you are visiting, our ushers will help you find all the appropriate classes for your family and will introduce you to the teachers.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH
On Sunday morning after Sunday School, our children have the opportunity to enjoy a special Children's Church service. This special service allows the children to learn how to behave in church while participating in a services designed for their age group.
The Children's Church is led by our Youth Director, Bro. Kevin Absher. It is for children up to the sixth grade. Here, the kids enjoy hymns, fun songs, activities, and age-appropriate lessons. Most importantly, they listen to Bible preaching from either Bro. Absher or one of the preachers in our church.
KING'S KIDS
The King's Kids Club meets on Sunday evenings at 5:30 during the school year. This program emphasizes Bible memorization and Bible teaching, as well as a lot of fun activities. The Club is divided by age along the same lines as the Sunday School. Each level has its own group captain. Children earn merit badges as they complete their goal sheets. The King's Kids Club also has a Children's Choir, which practices every other Sunday night.

JUNIOR CAMP
Each summer, our church attends a Junior Camp with other churches of like faith. This Camp is for children from the 4th - 7th grades.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
In the summer, our church hosts a Vacation Bible School for children in the area. Everyone is welcome to come!
